Two bits of interesting reading that were brought my way via @larryferlazzo (thank you kindly sir) this week.  Both are from Jobs for the Future Project.

The first is called Changing School District Practices.  This paper is broken down into three sections:

How Effective Districts Support Reforms to Improve Student Achievement

The Scope of Student-Centered Learning in the United States

How Districts Can Start to Implement Student-Centered Learning Practices

The second paper is called Mind, Brain and Education.  Some of the sections in this text include:

Student-Centered Learning

How the Brain Learns

Individual Differences

Language Learning

Literacy in the Brain

Emotion and Learning

Implications for Student-Centered Learning Approaches

Both these papers look like good reads and I’m excited to dig in!
