I recently had the pleasure of spending time with Larry LeCours. Larry was the first principal of our high school fifty years ago this year. In recognition of this year’s significance we’ve been reaching into the past to learn more about our school community from it’s start till now…and it’s been incredible. I spent over an hour with this gentleman and there were far more stories than I was able to include in a short video. It’s quite incredible to think of a building that you are in everyday not existing…being an open field and a the first time a communities came together in one school…and how BIG that all was. There were also themes that haven’t changed…the resiliency of our scholars, the sense of community, the strong commitment to constant improvement. All of those things were alive then and are still thriving. Incredible experience…the video doesn’t do it justice, at all.
